What Reiluruoka is
Reiluruoka is an online service for buying food and other goods straight from the producer. You see which sellers are coming to which market square, market hall, farm shop or REKO pickup, on which day, what they are bringing and at what price.
You preorder what you want and collect it from the seller’s stall. You pay the seller when you collect, so the whole price goes to the producer.
How to order
- Search for a product, a seller or a market. The search shows sellers all over Finland; when you give your location or a town, you see the nearest first.
- Choose a market day and the products and send the order. No account is needed: you confirm your email address with a one-time code.
- Collect the order from the seller’s stall at the time shown on the order and pay the seller. You get a pickup code that the seller finds your order with.
For sellers
A business with a Finnish business ID (Y-tunnus) can sign up as a seller. You add your products and your market days: where you are, when, what you bring and how much. The administrators check the seller’s details before the products are shown.
Customers preorder, so you know before the market day how much of everything is worth bringing.
Where the information comes from
Prices, products and market days are given by the sellers themselves. The information on market squares, market halls and REKO pickup points is based on OpenStreetMap’s open data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) and on the pages of municipalities and REKO rings.
Service provider
The service provider’s name, business ID and contact details will be added here before the service opens properly.
A sale is always between the customer and the seller. Reiluruoka passes the order on to the seller and is not a party to the sale.
